Το νέο ντοκιμαντέρ του Γιώργου Αυγερόπουλου έχει τίτλο ‘Το Μυστικό της Αυγής’ και θα προβληθεί στις 22 Απριλίου στις 22.00. Έχει να κάνει με την κλειτοριδεκτομή, ένα πανάρχαιο έθιμο που επιβιώνει μέχρι σήμερα.

Πρόκειται για μια βάναυση επέμβαση στο σώμα των γυναικών, η οποία συναντάται κυρίως σε χώρες της Αφρικής.

Συγκεκριμένα, σε όλο τον κόσμο 140.000.000 κορίτσια και γυναίκες έχουν ήδη υποστεί ακρωτηριασμό των γεννητικών τους οργάνων και στο Μαλί το ποσοστό των γυναικών που έχουν ακρωτηριαστεί σεξουαλικά αγγίζει το 85%!

Θανάσης Βέγγος: Μαζί με την Κάτια Δανδουλάκη στη TV

Ο μεγάλος μας ηθοποιός, Θανάσης Βέγγος, αν και εμφάνισε πρόσφατα ένα πρόβλημα υγείας, ευτυχώς το ξεπέρασε και μπόρεσε να αποδεχτεί τη νέα τηλεοπτική πρόταση που του έκανε η σκηνοθέτης Ρέινα Εσκενάζι.

Η Εσκενάζι ήταν ο... "ενορχηστρωτής" πίσω από τη σειρά «έχω ένα μυστικό», στο οποίο και ο Θανάσης Βέγγος έπαιξε πρόσφατα ένα σύντομο ρόλο, σαν ένας από τους ''ανθρώπους'' της Αλίκης Βουγιουκλάκη.

Η νέα τηλεοπτική πρόταση που έχει αυτή τη φορά είναι δίπλα σε έναν άλλο του γνώριμο συνεργάτη, την Κάτια Δανδουλάκη. Η σειρά θα είναι μια μεγάλη παραγωγή ''εποχής'' με βασική πρωταγωνίστρια την Κάτια.

Δεν είναι σίγουρο ακόμα αν ο κ. Βέγγος θα βρεθεί μπροστά από τις κάμερες, στο πλευρό της Κάτιας, το μόνο σίγουρο αυτή τη στιγμή είναι ότι θα ακούμε τη μοναδική και γνώριμη φωνή του, σαν τον αφηγητή της σειράς.

Έναν ''ρόλο'', που ο αγαπημένος ηθοποιός δεν έχει ξαναπαίξει στο παρελθόν, γεγονός που του κέντρισε ακόμα πιο πολύ το ενδιαφέρον και τον παρακίνησε να απαντήσει θετικά στην πρόταση της γνωστής σκηνοθέτιδας.

Experience Flash Forward on Lost Next Week

The Hollywood Reporter says that ABC will be launching a stealth promo campaign for new series "Flash Forward" during the 100th episode of "Lost" next week.

The trade says that the commercial breaks are "sure to raise a host of new ones with perplexing snippets that might direct viewers to a Web site."

Based on Robert J. Sawyer's sci-fi novel, David S. Goyer and "Star Trek" veteran Brannon Braga's "Flash Forward" stars Joseph Fiennes and chronicles the aftermath of a global event in which everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds and has a mysterious vision of the future.

Ron Moore's VIRTUALITY

With rumors abound that Ron Moore's new show, Virtuality, was getting the standard confused looks from Fox executives, we weren't exactly holding our breath for it. But word from the futoncritic is that the 2 hour pilot will actually air on Saturday, July 4 8:00/7:00c. Good news right? Well it wasn't necessarily all that exciting for me either until I learned more about the show's set up from Charlie Jane Anders who reviewed the pilot for i09:

"Virtuality is the story of the crew of the "Phaeton," a deep-space exploration vessel, who use virtual reality to distract themselves from the claustrophobia and boredom of deep space (until something inevitably goes wrong), but there's way more to it than that. For one thing, the ship really is incredibly claustrophobic and slow, not roomy and zoomy like the Enterprise. For another, the crew are forced to take part in a "reality TV" show that's broadcast back on Earth... and the ship's therapist is the reality-show's producer. It's seriously twisted, demented stuff. Oh, and the menace that wreaks havoc in their virtual reality world is a bit scarier and more insidious than a bunch of Worfs in cowboy hats."

So apropos to my post on Station and my love for claustrophobic space thrillers, this show sounds like it's all that and the kitchen sink.

The 2 hour Virtuality pilot was directed by Peter Berg (Hancock and the upcoming DUNE) and stars Sienna Guillory, Clea DuVall, Jimmi Simpson, Joy Bryant, James D'Arcy and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

Πέθανε ο σεναριογράφος του «Χαβάη 5-0»

Ο John Furia ήταν το πρόσωπο πίσω από πολύ πετυχημένες σειρές της τηλεόρασης όπως το «Χαβάη 5-0», το «Twilight zone», το «Bonanza» και άλλα. Έφυγε σήμερα σε ηλικία 79 ετών.

Ηταν πολύ δραστήριος και...προσπάθησε να διαδώσει την τέχνη του θεάματος ξεκινώντας παράρτημα συγγραφής για τηλεόραση και κινηματογράφο στο πανεπιστήμιο της Νότιας Καλιφόρνιας.

ALPHA

Ακόμα μια ιατρική δραματική σειρά έχετε να προστεθεί στο τηλεοπτικό μας τοπίο.

Από τις 16 Μαΐου και κάθε Σαββατοκύριακο στις 18.00, ο Alpha θα προβάλλει την αμερικανική σειρά, Strong Medicine, που στις ΗΠΑ κράτησε από το 2000 ως το 2006 (6 σεζόν-132 επεισόδια).

"Σ' αγαπάω...πάρκαρε” είναι ο τίτλος του πρώτου διαδικτυακού σήριαλ στο MEDIASOUP της Σεμίνας Διγενή με την υπογραφή του Πάνου Αμαραντίδη. Πρόκειται για μια ανατρεπτική παρωδία της Δυναστείας και σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες έναν... από τους πρωταγωνιστικούς ρόλους θα αναλάβει ο Γιάννης Τσιμιτσέλης, ο ρόλος του Κάρριγκτον προορίζεται για τον Πάνο Μιχαλόπουλο, το pool boy θα είναι ο Δημήτρης Βλάχος, η ραδιούργα γιαγιά(ρόλος προσθήκη) η Έφη Παπαθεοδώρου, ο Μέμος Μπεγνής θα είναι μάλλον από τους εραστές της Αλέξις, ενώ η Αλέξις θα είναι η μεγάλη έκπληξη, αφού θα την υποδυθεί γνωστή δημοσιογράφος της TV.

ABC Will be Defying Gravity

ABC has picked up Fox TV Studios' 13-episode adventure drama "Defying Gravity" starring Ron Livingston, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show comes from creator/executive producer James Parriott, who served as an executive producer on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" and "Ugly Betty," and executive producer Michael Edelstein, former executive producer of the network's "Desperate Housewives."

"Gravity," whose cast includes Laura Harris, Christina Cox, Malik Yoba and Florentine Lahme, is set in the near future and revolves around eight astronauts from five countries who undertake a mysterious six-year mission through the solar system.

The series is slated to air on ABC this summer.

If "Gravity" does well, Parriott and Edelstein hope to do more seasons of the show. "I have the first three seasons blocked out, and I know the ending of the series," Parriott said.

Firefly writer bringing ALIEN NATION reboot to SyFy

Variety is reporting that writer/producer, Tim Minear (Firefly, Angel, Dollhouse), is writing a reboot of Rockne O'Bannon's Alien Nation for the SCIFI network.

"The new series is designed to take place in the 2020s, about 20 years after the first ship crashes on Earth, and will take place in the Pacific Northwest. The aliens will have multiplied to a population of about 3.5 million and would live in their own communities, analogous to the North African ghettos in France."

Says producer Chris Carlisle about the projetc; "It's absolute perfect timing for this type of show. They're looking for more grounded sci-fi and close-ended episodes, and at the heart of Alien Nation, it's a cop movie. It's grounded. And it has a tremendous amount of dramatic possibilities and humor."

Between this, ABC's V redux and the Peter Jackson produced District 9, we're certainly doing alright in the alien assimilation department.

Live-action Star Wars TV series in preproduction in Australia

Site SCI FI TV reports a rumor that preproduction is gearing up for George Lucas' proposed live-action Star Wars series, which is to be shot Down Under.

The site, citing anonymous sources, adds that the show is assembling high-quality writers from the Aussie TV industry, including writers from Love My Way and Secret Life of Us, who have been approached by Lucas' longtime producer Rick McCallum.

The as-yet-untitled series is supposedly set to debut in 2010, though there has been no word of a distributor yet. The series will reportedly be set between the eras of Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope and will not feature any major characters from the film series.

Τη Δευτέρα ξεκινά το καλοκαιρινό πρόγραμμα του Alpha. Κάθε μέρα λοιπόν το κλασικό πλέον, ‘Baywatch’, τα απογεύματα στις 16.00, τη σειρά ‘The King of Queens‘ στις 17.00, το ‘Everybody Loves Raymond‘ στις 18.00. Στις 20.00 το επίσης κλασικό ‘The Nanny‘, ενώ στις 00.15 το ‘Law and Order‘.

Αυτά για σειρές, όσο αφορά τις ταινίες κάθε βράδυ στις 21.00 και θα προβάλλεται και από μία. Μερικές από αυτές είναι οι Άγριος Ποταμός, Θέα από Ψηλά, Του Θεού το Χόρτο, Η Ένορκος, Ράμπο 3, Έκρηξη.

Eτοιμάζει επετειακό επεισόδιο για τους "Απαράδεκτους"

Ένα επετειακό επεισόδιο θα κάνει η Δήμητρα Παπαδοπούλου για τα 20 χρόνια του Mega και θα μετάσχει σε αυτό και ο Σπύρος Παπαδόπουλος και μάλλον ο Γιάννης Μπέζος. Θα είναι οι "Απαράδεκτοι" και θα γίνει και ένα αφιέρωμα-αναφορά στον Βλάση Μπονάτσο που έφυγε νωρίς.
