The STS will sound best when used in one of our systems with the SC-1. However you will be OK using it with an SSP, with a 4th order 24 dB/octave low pass filter to roll off energy above the crossover point. We suggest that without an SC-1, do not go higher than 50 Hz.

As for power amplifier, it all depends on how loud you want to play. More power is always better We have been using pro type amps, such as QSC, which offers more than 3KW at 4 ohms. It is up to you and what you plan to do with it, the room size, acoustics and treatment. Yes, you can use lower power too, but it is clean and effortless, you will want to turn it up.

σημερα φωτο και δοκιμη, και οταν αξιωθω θα σηκωσω (καπως ) το βιντεακι απο το σεμηναριο που ειχαν κανει και το πως κατασκευαζουν τα παλιοηχια τους.

With our SC-1, you can use the STS all the way up to 80 Hz. But we do not recommend doing so without the SC-1, since there are a couple out-of-band bumps above 100 Hz that need to be reduced.



We can do this in the SC-1 in a transparent manner; without the SC-1, any crossover less aggressive than 50 Hz and 24 dB/octave will allow some (undesired) energy to be heard above 100 Hz.



I strongly advise getting an SC-1 into the system. It does much more than simply providing a crossover for the main speakers. It is a truly powerful tool for delivering consistently excellent performance in a wide variety of situations.
