Bryan Singer reveals a beastly behind the scenes shot from X-Men: Days of Future Past

Continuing his ongoing behind-the-scenes look at the pre-production of X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer has revealed a new extreme close-up of Mama McCoy's bouncing baby boy. Beneath that furry blue makeup is Nicholas Hoult, reprising his role from X-Men: First Class.


Singer also includes a quote from Jeanne Marie Le Prince de Beaumont's original "Beauty and the Beast" that reads, "Many a monster wears the form of a man; it is better of the two to have the heart of a man & the form of a monster."

Charles Xavier will continue to help the CIA in X-Men: Days of Future Past




Charles Xavier's thesis paper on mutations is briefly mentioned in X-Men: First Class and it would appear that it will pop back up again in next summer's follow-up, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Director Bryan Singer tweeted the below photo this afternoon which also seems to indicate that CIA will be enlisting his help in some fashion in the film.

A few weeks ago, some fans were concerned that actress Halle Berry would be unable to fully commit to the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past due to her pregnancy. Adan Canto joins X-Men: Days of Future Past

Adan Canto of "The Following" confirmed on Twitter this weekend that he has signed on for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. Though he didn't say which character he will be portraying in the movie, he had a cryptic reply when asked about upcoming projects: "I might turn into a ball of fire if someone pisses me off." This leaves a few possibilities for his role - the Brazillian mutant Sunspot is one option or Canto could have been recast in the role of Pyro. Bryan Singer confirms Bishop and Warpath are in X-Men: Days of Future Past

Much of the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past is made up of returning characters from the previous films, but a few of them are newcomers and some are still a mystery...until now. Director Bryan Singer tweeted a Vine video this morning on his showing off the personalized chairs for several of the characters in the film, and it was the inclusion of Bishop and Warpath that got our attention.


French actor Omar Sy was rumored to be playing the time displaced Bishop when he was first announced, and while not a confirmation all indicators certainly point to that being true now. In addition, Twilight actor Booboo Stewart is almost certainly playing Warpath in the film as his role was never disclosed and he is the only Native American actor in the cast.

It appears that Hugh Jackman has officially started production on Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past. Evan Peters joins X-Men: Days of Future Past as Quicksilver

Some very interesting news has just landed as director Bryan Singer has revealed, via his Twitter feed, that "American Horror Story" star Evan Peters has joined the cast of the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past in the role of Magneto's son, Pietro Maximoff, aka Quicksilver. The news arrives in the wake of confirmation from Joss Whedon that Quicksilver and his sister, Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, both have roles in his script for Marvel's The Avengers 2.


"Before he was an #Avenger," Singer writes, "he was just a REALLY fast kid. Thrilled to say #EvanPeters is joining #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast as #Quicksilver."


The news also arrives following confirmation this morning that Saoirse Ronan is interested in taking on the Scarlet Witch role in Marvel's The Avengers 2. The actress is said to be the "model" for Whedon's iteration of the character.


"We both have them," Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told SuperHeroHype of the character rights last summer. "There's a specific arrangement with those two characters that would allow us to use them with 'Avengers,' but not discuss or reference their mutant or Magneto-related lineage. They can use them as mutants and as Magneto's relatives, but cannot have anything to do with 'The Avengers.'"

Patrick Stewart talks X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past is still filming in Montreal and details are few about the upcoming ensemble film. Star Patrick Stewart offered a few teases for the film at Comicpalooza, however. Check out his comments below.


"I think it is going to certainly be the X-Men of all X-Men pictures, and one doesn't want to tempt fate, but perhaps also the blockbuster of 2014. It was a wonderful experience to reunited with those people."


Stewart began to elaborate on a few details for the film, including Charles Xavier's return.


"It's been 6 or 7 years since X-Men 3, where you will recall that Charles Xavier was vaporized by whats-her-name, Jean Grey. And you're asking yourselves, 'If you were vaporized, how can you be in the next X-Men movie?' Anybody got any ideas how that came about?" One audience member yelled out "Time travel," to which Stewart responded: "Yeah, that's exactly it. I guess. There will be an explanation, but it was a little puzzling for me because I thought my X-Men days were over. So, it's something to look forward to."


Stewart also revealed that he has completed filming his parts of the movie and that Hugh Jackman will remain on set for the duration of the production which should wrap up in August. You can check out the full video of Stewart's comments below.
