Το συγκεκριμένο άρθρο το αλίευσα από το γερμανικό σαιτ lowbeats και με την βοήθεια του Google ποσταρα την μετάφραση.

Αυτό που εντυπωσιάζει πέρα από το τεράστιο σαμπ που κατεβαίνει μέχρι τα 5Hz, είναι η χρησιμοποιηση συνολικά 38 ηχείων και μάλιστα ανάλογα με το φόρμα που έχει επιλεγεί να παίξει.

Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι το σαμπ γίγας ξεκινάει από τα 50Hz και τα υπόλοιπα 8 σαμπς συμπληρώνουν την περιοχή μέχρι τα 120Hz.στην συνέχεια αναλαμβάνουν τα γουφερ των ενεργών ηχείων. Πραγματικά εντυπωσιακό.

Report Ascendo-Kino in Ansbach: In the intoxication of the depth of 5 Hertz

In October 2015, shortly after the founding of LowBeats, we went to one of our first editorial visits. The goal: Ansbach. More precisely: the old courthouse on the outskirts, popularly known as the "gallows mill". In the early modern age, a court is said to have met here. Today, however, it is no longer the executioners who are raving about it, but persuaders of the best hi-fi and the very best cinema. It is the address of Ascendo. This is where the fine Ascendo speakers are developed and produced. And this is where the superior cinema systems of the Ascendo subsidiary AIA (Ascendo Immersive Audio) are created. The visit to the Ascendo cinema in Ansbach 4 years ago (see also report) first opened my eyes (and ears), what is possible in terms of the best home cinema. And so we couldn't say no when the call from Ascendo boss Stefan Köpf came, whether we didn't want to experience an Ascendo cinema screening again in the Ansbach installation: a lot would have happened ...

At LowBeats, we have closely followed the development of Ascendo over the past few years and knew very well that not only the classic cinema speakers have been continuously developed under the AIA jacket, but also that the Ultimate has finally found its way into the program. Such as the Black Swan, a fully active 3-way loudspeaker with 38 cm bass and huge mid-high horn, which is driven by a 5 cm beryllium coax pressure chamber driver. That reads impressive and also looks spectacular. But once it is on, it blows you away: the black swan should emit a maximum sound pressure of 130 dB. There is no such thing in HiFi. Based on this, the unit price of just under 15,000 euros is still within the range that can be represented.

And then there are the subwoofers. At AIA you don't deal with the usual 18 or 21 inch formats - which is huge. There are also the 24-inch, the 32-inch and the largest series-produced subwoofer in the world: the SMSG 50 with a diameter of 127 centimeters. When you stand in front of it, tender moods overwhelm a very bad feeling and bass fans can no longer get out of the grin. It has something of the most modern roller coaster: It is certainly a lot of fun, but you have respect.

You should have it too. The forces that pull on this subwoofer membrane are so great that gluing plus double stitching is necessary for the contact between the membrane and the surround. The monster, which costs 68,000 euros and can also play 5 Hertz at a very high level, celebrated its first public appearance at the HIGH END in Munich in 2017.

It immediately made a name for itself, because during its operation all the phono demonstrations of the trade fair neighbors ended immediately: The thing is so deep that all tonearm system resonances were hit and the needles jumped out of the groove ... According to the company brochure, the monster moves just as much air as 40 (in words forty!) 18 inch woofer and reaches a sound pressure of over 125 decibels even at 20 Hertz. Don't you need a gun license for this, Mr. Köpf? A meaningful smile ...


The speakers of the Ascendo cinema

It doesn't take long to wonder why we couldn't turn down the invitation to Ansbach, of course. In the recently built demo cinema in the gallows mill, in addition to 34 fully active (classic) AIA systems, three Black Swans are installed in the front. And of course the beast, the SMSG 50, could not be missing. "We wanted to show what is possible here today," said Stefan Köpf and smiled so funny again - I suspected evil.

Nevertheless, the Ascendo cinema installation can do much more than very loud, evil and absurdly deep. For example, map all of the currently popular 3D sound formats. As a preliminary stage, the cinema specialists use the 32-channel Trinnov Altitude 32, which is also the reference in the LowBeats test cinema. This is by far the best home theater machine that ensures unmatched, precise setting of all parameters. With his help, Dolby Atmos 11.9.6, Auro 3D 13.10.19 and Dolby DTS: X can be heard in Ansbach. Each of these sound formats requires different speaker constellations at certain points, which is why quite a lot of speakers are installed in the Ascendo cinema:

- Front speakers: 3 x Black Swan Beryllium Single (group 1) or 3 x CCRM12 (group 2), but they never play together
- Surround speaker: 8 x CCRM6 MKII
- Ceiling speaker: 6 x CCRM6 MKII
- Subwoofer (LFE): 6 x SMSG15, 2 x SMS15, 1 x SMSG50 or 1 x SMSG32 or 1 x SMSG24. The same applies here: the G24, the G32 and the G50 never play together

- Hi Front: 3 x CCRM12 MKII
- Hi Surround: 4 x CCRM6 MKII

I counted several times and came up with 38 loudspeaker systems. And with the exception of the systems behind the screen, they are hardly covered. The Ascendo Cinema in Ansbach is a classic demo cinema, in which you also have to change or add something quickly. This now only has limited living room charm, but the technology is clearly visible to the visitor - as the slide show shows.

In addition to the measurement by the Trinnov, AIA speaker management (this is the integrated room acoustic correction in every speaker) can be used to fine-tune the adjustment. In this way, says Köpf, the subwoofers in particular are carefully fine-tuned and corrected again.

We mostly heard in the Auro 3D variant. The huge SMSG50 only ever runs below 50 Hertz. Eight subwoofers with 15 inch woofers play the "upper bass" up to almost 120 Hertz. Then the woofers from Black Swan, CCRM12 and CCRM8 take over.

This relief of the mid-high systems ensures an absurdly high, completely distortion-free maximum level of the overall system, which is otherwise only achieved with large public address systems.

However, the Ascendo people have created such good conditions here that they make substantial readjustments unnecessary: 60% of the cavity in the acoustic ceiling was covered with 8 cm thick Basotec panels, the floor almost completely covered with a heavy, deep-pile industrial carpet. And against the disturbing bass resonances between 30 and 100 Hz, seven plate resonators were placed at the acoustically relevant points in the room. Result: When speaking, the room sounds exactly like such a cinema has to sound: quite damped, very little reverberation.

With so much effort, the electronics in front of it must of course also be of the finest quality. At the time of our visit were connected:

AVR: Trinnov Altitude 32 (32 ch)
Projector: Sony VPL HW55ES
Blu-ray player: OPPO UDP-205
AVB Switch: 2 x Extreme Summit X440-24t G2

The connoisseur sees a sensible mix of the best components here. The question of power amplifier electronics is superfluous: it is built into every AIA loudspeaker. After my last visit, I called the report "3D sound world with 20,000 watts". This time, power amplifiers with a total output of at least 40,000 watts were installed. Even if not all speakers were playing at the same time: The absolute sovereignty of a system that never reaches its limits in terms of performance was palpable from the first note.

Conclusion

I wrote these lines at a sufficient distance from the Ascendo visit. But there is also no question that the Ascendo AIA systems are currently the ultimate in home cinema due to their audiophile approach, the ease of use and the size of the program. It doesn't have to be the brute expansion of the Ascendo cinema in Ansbach. The demo installation in the court mill is basically the muscle show, which shows what is possible with maximum effort. And that's breathtaking. But the wide range, especially in the subwoofer area, makes scaling down pleasantly easy.

Τον έλεγχο τους να δω πως τον κάνουν .
Ειδικά κάτω από τα 10 χερτζ εκεί έχει πολύ γέλιο
Εκτός κ αν παιζουν σε κανένα στάδιο ...

Εκτός κ αν παιζουν σε κανένα στάδιο ...
από ένα σημείο db και μετά τα τοιχωματικά όρια παύουν να υπάρχουν :biggrin:

επίσης άποψη μου ότι μόνο προβλήματα προσθέτεις κάτω από τα 10 χερτζ.
Το πιο εντυπωσιακό στις οκτάβες των Σάμπ είναι το 40 μέχρι 120 .
Εάν έχει σωστό χαμηλό εκεί είναι τόσο εντυπωσιακό που δεν σε απασχολεί τόσο έντονα πιο χαμηλά

Δεν είναι και πολύ σωστές οι επιλογές τους στο φάσμα που παίζει το 50-ιντσο τέρας, αλλά στόχος τους είναι ο εντυπωσιασμός περισσότερο, κι αυτό το πετυχαίνουν χαλαρά.

Εξαιρετικά σωστά, έχουν 8 σαμπ για το φάσμα 50-120 Hz, οπότε η ομοιογένεια και η έλλειψη διακυμάνσεων απόκρισης είναι δεδομένη, όπως φυσικά και οι στάθμες.

Όμως μέχρι τα 50 από μια μόνο πηγή; Γιατί; Για να είναι βέβαιη η παρουσία τονωσεων και ακυρώσεων στο φάσμα;

Θα ήταν πολύ πιο σωστή η χρήση 4 ή 8 πηγών και σε αυτό το τμήμα του φάσματος, ιδίως στο 25-50, όπου είναι δεδομένη η εμπλοκή των τοιχωματικων ορίων.

Η φίρμα λέει πως το 50" αντιστοιχεί σε 40 τεμάχια 18", μάλλον υπερβολικό μου ακούγεται. Για λόγους δυναμικής συμπίεσης (ισχύος) θα προτιμούσα πάντως 8-16 τεμάχια 18" με μικρής ισχύος ενισχυτή σε έκαστο, παρά ένα τέρας 50" με τερατώδη ενισχυτή ισχύος.

Για Προσωπική εμπειρία πάντα μιλάω εγώ .
Εάν δεν έχω δει η δοκιμάσει δεν εκφέρω γνώμη ποτέ ...

αυμφωνω μαζι σου με τη διαφορα ότι θα το κάνω 30 με 120
