Ναι Αποστόλη,αλλά και ο dreambox και ο δέκτης του connex που δεν έχουν αυτή τη δυνατότητα καθώς και το wdhd tv που είχα μέχρι πρότινος,δεν δημιουργούσαν αυτό το πρόβλημα.Εύχομαι με το πολύ αναμενόμενο update να διορθωθεί.
Ανεξάρτητα με αυτό,θα ήθελα αν κάποιος μπορούσε να το δοκιμάσει και με την δική του τιβι,και ας μην είναι samsung,κάποιο αντίστοιχο πρωτόκολλο χρησιμοποιούν και οι υπόλοιπες.

και έχει να κάνει με το pin 13 από το chip της realtek και δείχνει να είναι hardware bug.
Η λύση που προτείνεται είναι να "απενεργοποιήσεις"με κάποιο τρόπο το συγκεκριμένο πιν από την πλακέτα,πράγμα που το κόβω χλωμό για ευνόητους λόγους, και η άλλη ποιο ανώδυνη είναι στο hdmi καλώδιο να το εγχειρήσουμε και να κόψουμε αυτό που πάει στο pin 13, ή με κάποιο άλλο τρόπο που δεν μπορώ να σκεφτώ να το "ταπώσουμε" πριν το συνδέσουμε πάνω στο med.

Reason for two versions

The reason for 2 firmware versions is that the new SDK that we are using has restrictions as foll

1) DD Hardware all will work as it should and you will get 5.1 passthrough on SPDIF from normal 5.1 and HD Audio source material
2) DD+ Hardware will work as it should on HDMI but on SPDIF it will passthrough Core 5.1 from Core 5.1 source fine-- but it will not pass Core 5.1 from HD Audio 5.1 or 7.1 source material

So users who use SPDIF cannot get the benefit of HD Audio (as we know you cannot get HD Audio on SPDIF) and they should use the "NO_HD_AUDIO" version and then they will get normal Dolby 5.1 and DTS from 5.1 source BUT they will also get Core 5.1 Dolby and DTS from HD Audio 5.1 and 7.1 source. If on the other hand they use the version "INC_HD_AUDIO" they will only get 2 ch stereo from HD Audio source.

DD+ Hardware - SPDIF used for audio = use "no HD Audio version"
DD+ Harware - HDMI 1.3 AMP used for audio = use "Inc HD Audio version"
DD+ Hardware - HDMI to TV used for audio = Use either

Update the Mede8er in the normal way via Emergency procedure

Emergency Installation Procedure

- Download the latest Firmware from the Mede8er website
- Unrar / Unzip the file i.e. install.img
- Copy this file to the root directory of a Flash Drive
- Plug the flash drive into the Mede8er
- Disconnect the power jack at the rear of the Mede8er then plug it back in
- Now press the on/off button (on Mede8er unit - not remote) - keep it pressed in for 10 seconds and then release
- The LED on the front fascia of the Mede8er with flash red-blue
- You will get a progress bar on your TV display (some TV's will not display this)
- Wait until the Mede8er re boots itself +/- 90 sec
- Your Mede8er is now updated;
- Re-boot once by pulling power and use as normal

For those who are having problems with the update
The reason that the install is not working is that the Bootloader did not update

FIX
1) download http://www.chip.de/downloads/HP-USB-Disk-Storage-Format-Tool_23418669.html
2) Use the utility to formatt your USB Flash Drive to FAT32
3) Install the firmware again
4) If the above does not work please try another USB Flash Drive

If the above does not work for med500X then try the following

MED500X ONLY

Pls try a few times and if it still does not update the bootloader then you will need to do the 17L Bootloader Patch procedure

Instructions for updating from Bootloader 17L
a) Download 0017L_bootloader_patch.rar (OR zip equivalents)
b) Unrar/unzip the file 0017L_bootloader_patch.rar or 0017L_bootloader_patch.zip and you will find 2 files inside.
install.img and install.dat
c) Copy these files to the root of a USB drive
d) Install via Emergency Procedure.
--- On the first stage you will see the patch install on the screen
--- then the Mede8er will reboot
--- Next you will see BETA2 install on screen and a yellow box after half of progression bar stating it has to reboot
--- then another reboot
--- then again it starts to install BETA2 and finishes with install complete and reboots

THE PROCESS IS NOT COMPLETE SO PLEASE CARRY ON

e) Delete the two files install.dat / install.img on the USB stick
f) Unrar/Unzip the file (Depends on your requrement)
MED500X_V4_INC_HD_AUDIO_25Jan2011 or MED500X_V4_NO_HD_AUDIO_25Jan2011
and copy the install.img to the root of the USB stick.
g) Update the Mede8er in the normal way via Emergency procedure

Please be patient as the update from 17L is much longer that the normal firmware update.

Νομίζω ότι στα παρακάτω που φτιάξανε ήταν το θέμα με τον μακρόσυρτο ήχο στα ηχεία όταν κάναμε pause ή stop, που συζητούσαμε στο νήμα της δοκιμής του 400Χ

Δοκίμασα περιχαρής το μεσημέρι να περάσω την έκδοση 4 στο Med500x του οποίου είμαι ευτυχής κάτοχος. Η έκδοση που είχα ήταν η 3.xx δε θυμάμαι ακριβώς μιας και δεν είχα πειραματιστεί με τις δοκιμαστικές εκδόσεις της έκδοσης 4. Με το που περνάω την έκδοση 4 και μετά την επιτυχή εγκατάσταση, το μηχανάκι κάνει restart και κόκκαλο. Έμενε με την εικόνα σύμβολο στην οθόνη και δεν έκανε τίποτε.
Τελικά δούλεψε μετά το πέρασμα του bootolader patch και στη συνέχεια του φρέσκου Firmware.
Πλέον δουλεύει άψογα με την έκδοση 4 και παίζει και αρχεία στα οποία πριν δεν είχα εικόνα παρά μόνο ήχο. High Definition audio δεν έχω δοκιμάσει εαν στέλνει pass through μιας και δεν έχω αντίγραφο ασφαλείας blu ray ταινίας, αλλά ευελπιστώ να βρώ και να το δοκιμάσω και αυτό

Διορθώθηκαν πολλά bugs στον ήχο,καλύτερη συμβατότητα με mkv,καλύτερη ποιότητα στο wifi και πολλά άλλα.

Αν και το δοκίμασα για λίγο, για μένα πολύ σημαντικό ότι είναι πάλι γρήγορο, σταθερό και παίζει τα μουσικά αρχεία χωρίς καθυστέρηση.

Στο Video Wall όπου έβαλα τα έτοιμα jpg που δίνει η εταιρία (δες πιο πάνω τα downloads) έπαιξε μια χαρά.
Στα δικά μας πρέπει να κάνουμε resize τις φωτό που έχουμε σε συγεκριμένες διαστάσεις, υπάρχει και σχετικό tool. Θα το δοκιμάσω αργότερα.

Εδώ θέλω να αναφέρω ότι έχω και ένα PlayON και το video wall του παρότι παρέχει την ευκολία να κατεβάζει από βαση στο internet τις φωτό, είναι πολύ αργό στο φόρτωμα και άρα δυσχηστο (ή μάλλον άχρηστο) για μένα.
Επίσης κάθε φορά που θέλεις να προσθέσεις 1 ταινία πρέπει να ξανακάνεις την διαδικασία από την αρχή (με χρήση του PC, οχι από το player αυτόματα).

Αν βρώ τρόπο να παίρνω τα στοιχεία που κατεβάζει η βάση και να περνάω στο mede8er θα είναι τέλεια :116:

Μπορειτε να μου πειτε γιατι οταν βαζω ταινιες δεν εχω ηχο και οταν βαζω μουσικη εχω κανονικα?
Για την ακριβεια στις ταινιες ακουγεται κατι σαν παρασιτα οπως οταν παμε να βαλουμε εναν ραδιοφωνικο σταθμο στο οποιο εχουμε εξαιρετικα ασθενες σημα.

Εχοντας περασει το τελευταιο φιρμγουερ η εικονα βελτιωθηκε θεαματικα.

Οι συνδεσεις με το ντακ στο θεμα του ηχου ειναι και με οπτικη και με coaxial. Ωστοσο το προβλημα υπαρχει και στις δυο μορφες συνδεσης.
Απο τις ρυθμισεις ηχου εχει επιλογες μονο για hdmi και optical. Για coaxial δεν αναφερει απολυτως τιποτα το μηχανημα!!
Εννοειται οτι εχω κανει ολους τους πιθανους συδιασμους αλλα τζιφος.

Η αληθεια ειναι οτι το προβλημα το εχω μονο με το Mede8er.

Με το e-great & Dune εχω ηχο κανονικα (ταινιες και μουσικη).

Τι εχει και μουλαρωσε και δεν θελει να ακουω ηχο απο ταινιες δεν μπορω να καταλάβω. Η αληθεια ειναι οτι το πηρα για για να ακουω μονο μουσικη και τοσο καιρο δεν το εκανα δοκιμη στις ταινιες. Μια δυο φορες που το δοκιμασα πριν καιρο και μου εκανε τα ιδια πιστευα οτι καποιο καλωδιο δεν μπηκε καλα στην θεση του και επειδη δεν καιγομουν δεν το εδωσα ιδιατερη σημασια (αφου ομως μουσικη απο σκληρους επαιζε μια χαρα!)

Ομως απο την αλλη δεν ειναι και λογικο να αδιαφορησω στο προβλημα. Προσπαθω να δω αν κατι μπορω να κανω πριν το πακεταρω και το στειλω στην αντιπροσωπεια στην Αθηνα.
