Σε λίγο καιρό, η νέα σειρά της Monitor Audio κυκλοφορεί στην παγκόσμια αγορά, στοχεύοντας αυτή τη φορά και στις hi end αναζητήσεις του αγοραστικού κοινού. Πολύ σύντομα θα είμαστε σε θέση να τα ακούσουμε κι εμείς. ;-)

Να και οι εντυπωσεις ενος ακροατη απο το αμερικανικο φορουμ(ειναι ο μονος που εγραψε σχετικα):

"I just got back from the CES show. I have a set of the GS60s at home so I wanted to hear the new Platinum series. First of let me say they are one of the nicest looking speakers I saw at the show. MA really went out of thier way to build a beautiful speaker. They had the 300 & 350 in there Rosewood and the 100 in the Ebony. The Rosewood on the platinum's is not the same as what you see on the Gold series. The finish and bulid quality was simply beautiful. I couldnt stop looking at the finish. It was such a rich elegant look. The pictures you see a from Wagnercs post are of the Rosewood at the Hilton CES show. The picts dont do justice.

As for the sound quality?....nothing short of incredible. I heard a lot of speakers at the show and there was only one other speaker that impressed me as much, Avatar, but it was 13k for the pair and they didnt have the finish MA had. I dont know or have a lot of tech experience so my technique for testing speakers was simple. Ignore what the sales people said and let the speaker talk for itself. If I wasnt wowed in the first 10 seconds I moved on. MA Platinum grab you right from the first note. The sound quality was so dynamic and full. You could feel the life of the music. It just ripped inside you. If that makes any sence. Its the only way I can explain it.

I did try to compare them with the GS 60s. also shown in Wagnerc's post. But you really couldnt make a fair comparison. The GS of course sounded really good. Anyone would be happy with those but the Platinums were a whole different level.

I was told they are expecting to ship the PLatinums in May or June. They do not have plans to make a 200 or a surround speaker for quite awhile, if at all. So I was told.

For those of you who have the budget ...wait for these to come out....give them a test drive. IMHO.. you wont regret it"
